ICHA President’s Message- June 2009
Hello Cutters,
I would like to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who “Rode For Idaho” at Western Nationals in Ogden! Congratulations to each of you that qualified to show there, and also to those of you who were finalists! With everyone’s help, ICHA came home with 2nd place in the AQHA/NCHA Affiliate Challenge- what a fantastic achievement!
We are excited about the remaining two ICHA-produced shows of the 2009 season, which are both part of the 2009 Idaho Champion Series. I hope to see each of you there!
- The first of these two shows will be held June 12th, 13th & 14th at the Idaho Horse Park in Nampa, Idaho (this show will be Three shows held over Three days).
- The Riverbend Ranch show dates have been changed- it will now be held Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st at Riverbend Ranch in Idaho Falls, Idaho (this show will be Two shows held over Two days). We are excited about the opportunity to host a show in Eastern Idaho at such a great facility!!
Be sure to also mark your calendars for the Bell A Ranch Celebration Cutting (Thursday, June 25th through Sunday, June 28th ) in Burns, Oregon AND the Winnemucca Summer Cutting (Friday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 5th ) in Winnemucca, Nevada. Both of these shows are ICHA-approved and are part of the 2009 Idaho Champion Series.
Our new, much-anticipated www.idahocha.com website is now up and running great! Many thanks to Seybold Scientific, Sue Marostica and Darcy Skaar for all of their hard work in making this happen. When you have a chance, please take a look at it. We welcome your comments, suggestions and ideas. Let us know of anything additional that you might like to see on the site- we want it to be what YOU, the ICHA members, want it to be!
Last but not least, I would like to welcome Denise Shewmaker as an ICHA Director, and congratulate her on being the new NCHA Director for Idaho!! We are very glad to have her representation, input and assistance.
We have several different cutting venues ahead of us in the coming months. I hope now that summer seems to finally be here, that it has found each of you well. I wish you all safe travels and look forward to seeing each of you down the road somewhere soon.
