Mission Statement: Promote and provide both weekend shows and aged events that will enhance the Cutting Horse interests, activities and industry.

Hello Cutters,

The past month has been eventful, to say the least! As most of you know- Darcy, Preslee and I welcomed a new baby boy, Bridger, into our family on June 29th. Despite a 10-day stay in the NICU after his birth, Bridger is now home and doing well. Thanks to each of you for your love and prayers on Bridger’s behalf, as well as ours. We appreciate your concern and greatly value your friendship. We look forward to each of you being able to meet Bridger very soon!

Please be sure to mark your calendars for the remaining Summer 2009 Idaho Champion Series shows: Las Vegas, NV July 31 – Aug 2; Oakley, UT August 7 – 8; Henry’s Lake, ID August 27 – 30. Each of these shows is ICHA-Approved and earnings from each of them will be counted toward the 2009 Idaho Champion Series standings.

ICHA Futurity & Aged Event entries opened on June 15th. Check out our website www.idahocha.com for forms and all of the information about the show. We are very excited about the show this year. We have a new arena color and we have many fun events that will be going on in addition to the cutting. Each of these additional events will be held at the arena for everyone’s convenience. We are excited to be hosting the 2nd Annual ICHA Bridleless Cutting, as well as many more fun, evening events. You won’t want to miss it!

The Annual ICHA/UCHA Youth Scholarship Auction will once again be held in conjunction with the ICHA Futurity & Aged Event this year. You will LOVE this year’s auction! Auction items will be displayed Sept 3rd – 6th during the show at the Idaho Horse Park, and all items will also be available for bidding on-line. The on-line auction opens August 15th at idahocha.auctionfrogs.org/auction/ . The Youth Scholarship Auction is a great opportunity to advertise your business. We encourage you to donate an item for the Youth Auction and include a bio about yourself, as well as links to your business or personal email/website. This will be a great way to get to know each other and do some marketing as well! It also provides a fantastic venue for each of us to assist our youth cutters in their efforts to further their educations.

Safe travels & I look forward to seeing each of you soon,

Preston Skaar
ICHA President
