The ICHA is pleased
to announce for 2006
The Mountain
West Champion Series
A New Saddle/Awards Series
co sponsored by
Utah & Idaho Cutting Horse Associations
|
The Mountain West Champion
Series will consist of ten (10) weekends (5 weekend
cuttings in Utah and 5 weekend cuttings in Idaho). The
exact number of show days may differ between the states
depending on which show format is used; 3 shows over
3 days or 2 shows over 2 days, or 2 shows in three days.
This is an exciting and
a first class series; Roohide Saddles and beautiful
awards. Saddles will be awarded to
first place in all NCHA classes and awards through
fifth place. Awards will be based on most
money won per class, except in the Youth classes where
points determine the qualifiers. All awards
will be determined by a committee from both associations
prior to the start of the show season.
All Mountain West Champion
Series shows will be determined prior to the start of
the show year and details displayed at each shows outlining
the show schedule and the current standings. If for
any reason a show is canceled the remaining shows will
be the series.
In order to qualify for
awards in the Mountain West Champion Series,
a contestant must attend at least seven of the ten weekends.
Riders must enter the class at least once in
seven different weekends. Example: If you are competing
in the 50AM class you must show in the 50AM at least
once in seven of the ten weekends that comprise the
series. You do not have to show every time the class
is offered in that weekend; but at least once.
An awards fee per work will be collected
at each show in the series.
Riders must be
members of both Idaho and Utah Cutting Horse
Associations. |
