Dummy Roping Contest
Tin Haul, D&B Supply and High Country Plastics will sponsor the Gold Buckle Champion Dummy Roping Contest at the Edmark Superstore “A Taste of Idaho Adventures” present by 3K Ranch during the ICHA Futurity & Aged Event at the Idaho Horse Park. Contest begins at 1:30 on Sept 3rd in the concessions area of the Idaho Horse Park.

Ages 5-7

12noon -1pm Workshop/Demonstration (for those who have never done this before)
1 -1:30 registration/ and they can register on line all week
1:30 the contests begin…
Prizes for Champion and Reserve in each age group and a special gift for all entries from Tin Haul and Gold Buckle Champion.
Rules:
In all rounds, boundary lines will be used. Three legal catches will be used in 8 & Under, slick horns only in the 9-12. Slick horse – half head, neck catch. No figure eights or hickies on horns allowed. Entrants are not allowed to rope the entire dummy – no fishing! Roping positions will be drawn and posted prior to the roping.
Round 1 – Contestants throw two loops Those catching both loops advance to Round 2.
Round 2 – Contestants throw one loop. Those who catch will advance to the Finals.
Sudden Death Finals – In the finals, a distance line will be marked. Distance and horn size may be changed each round thereafter until the winners are determined.
9-12 Rules
