President’s Message- April 2010
Hello All,
Happy Easter to each of you!
Our 1st Annual ICHA Spring Aged Event was a huge success, and we would like to say Thank You to all of those who supported it. We heard a lot of good feedback about the change in structure of having three separate shows with the total added money divided equally between them. The total payout of the three-day aged event was over $60,000!
I would like to say Thank You to our Spring Aged Event sponsors- Big Iron Ranch & Nurse N Cat, Figge Farms, Little Creek Ranch, Riverbend Ranch and Commercial Tire. We appreciate their generous support of our show!
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the wonderful show staff that worked so diligently to put on a great show—John & Lennie Uhrig, Kathryn Webb, Cathy Carpenter, Sue Marostica, Corey Fagen, Darcy Skaar, Hitchiker Productions and Scootemnshootem Photography. A special thank you goes out to our judges- Todd Bimat, Dave Costello and Andy Adams. As always, the Idaho Horse Park staff (Rod, Gary, Pat, Sally, Marty and their crew) did a wonderful job for us at a great facility!
ICHA is proud to be the host of NCHA Weekend this year. The show will be held on Friday & Saturday, June 4th -5th at Skaar Feedlot in Lewisville, Idaho. We will be hosting a Cutting Clinic presented by Brian Anderson & Scott Martin the day prior to the show (Thursday, June 3rd). The cost of the clinic will be $200 per person (maximum of 20 participants) and will include lunch. To register for the clinic, contact Darcy Skaar at (208) 709-3544 or darcy@idahocha.com
The ICHA is in need of a Youth Scholarship Coordinator. If you are interested in helping us with this important position, please contact me at (208) 709-3543.
Last but not least, Good Luck to each of you that will be competing at Western Nationals later this month!
